Our graduates
The social educator is a professional who organises and coordinates the education and activation process, thereby encouraging the target groups to pursue the optimal path of their personal development. This process typically takes place during leisure time, however, it can also occur during time spent at school, in the family, or elsewhere. The goal is to support the individuals and groups through everyday life as well as through challenging situations.

The social educator's work involves

The social educator is required to
- have extensive knowledge in social sciences,
- have expertise in social education,
- be trained in leisure-time education and organise activities in this area,
- be aware of the methods of social education and have skills in social communication and diagnostics,
- be assertive during problem solving and retain an overview of the individual or group's situation,
- be empathetic and creative,
- design projects tailored to specific target groups.
Graduate employment
Social education specialists could easily find positions in state management:
- e.g. ministry of education, youth and physical education (educator, leisure time specialist, methodologist of prevention, advisor for educational and social matters)
- in the field of justice (positions of educators in prisons)
- in the ministry of health care (educator and play therapists in hospital, crisis centres)
- in the field of the ministry of social affairs (different positions in in house treatment)
- the ministry of interior affairs (social specialists in refugee camps, humanitarian services or asylum centres)
- a wide range of job positions is also available in non-profit organizations; humanitarian and charity institutions, civil agencies, foundations, etc.
